HACK IT, JULES! www.ikeahackers.net
11 12
Thread the ball-bearing connector screw to the hole in Stand it on its rotating base. Then add in the branches,
the wider plate. Thread the nut in and secure tightly. with the 45 degree miter cut flush against the post.
Secure with screw bolts and wing nuts. Add the SATTA
knobs to where you want them to be.
13
If desired, you can sand and paint before use.
TIP
An easier work around would be to use L brackets
to secure the 4 joined HEJNE posts to the smaller
SNUDDA plate. Then, you won’t need to modify the
SNUDDA, which was the most time consuming part of
this hack. Obviously, this won’t be as neat. But under a
coat a paint, the brackets may be very noticeable.
CAUTION
As the SNUDDA base is not very wide and the metal
connector isn’t terribly strong, the clothes stand may
tip over if you hang a lot of heavy coats, bags and
jacket. Please use wisely.
