There are three types of vegetarian diets


         Vegan:  This  diet  consists  of  only  plant-based

         foods such as leaves, fruits, vegetables, legumes,
         grains, and nuts.



         Lacto-vegetarian: This diet includes plant-based
         foods and dairy products.



         Lacto-ovo  vegetarian:  This  diet  includes  plant-
         based foods, dairy products, and eggs.






                            Possible side effects



         Vegetarians  usually  are  deficient  in  iron,

         calcium,  zinc,  vitamin  B12,  vitamin  D,  creatine,

         taurine,  carnitine,  tyrosine,  carnosine,  and

         proteins.  People  following  this  diet  can  have

         high oxalates and lectins in their bodies.
