The ketogenic diet was created in 1921.

Dr. Russel Morse Wilder used the term
                                                                                       What is
"ketogenic diet" to describe a diet that What is

produced a high level of ketone bodies in the
blood (ketonemia) through an excess of fat and

         lack of carbohydrates. KETOGENIC

He was the first one to try the ketogenic diet as DIET?
         a treatment for epilepsy.

The ketogenic diet proved to be very successful

         in children.

         Wilder's colleague, pediatrician Mynie Gustav
Peterman reported in 1925 that 95% of 37 young

patients had improved seizure control on the
         diet, and 60% became seizure-free.

This type of diet works great for neurological

         conditions and for fat loss.

Once the body is deprived of glucose, an
alternative fuel called ketones is produced from

injected and stored fats. And the body starts to
         use fat for fuel.

As with any type of diet, the responses are

         individual.

In my Metabolic Balance class, I teach how to
determine if this type of diet is suitable for you

         or your clients.

Prior to applying this type of diet, check

                                                gallbladder function.
