FEELING RESENTFUL

             AND BITTER OFTEN

One of the signs that you habitually betray yourself is if you often feel
resentment and bitterness. If you value meeting other people's needs and

desires above nurturing yourself, then it's natural that you would build up
             resentment.

For example, if you avoid conflict, never say no or express your needs, then
you're going to resent other people. In short, the more often you betray

yourself, the more resentment you'll feel.

Underneath the feeling of bitterness is an unwillingness to forgive someone.
However, if you tend to self-betray then it actually makes sense that you

wouldn't want to forgive others. Why forgive them if you know that you're
going to keep betraying yourself in the relationship?
